Jamie Oliver needs no introduction. And nor does his eponymous, eternally popular restaurant chain Jamie’s Italian. Now with 38 sites across the UK and a further 18 international franchisees, this authentic and accessible Italian restaurant concept is one of the most well-known branches of Jamie’s multi-million pound estate. Jamie’s Italian London Bridge is unique, however. Located beneath Hilton’s London Tower Bridge Hotel on Tooley Street, this site is the first partnership between Hilton and the restaurant brand, and the first Jamie’s Italian within a hotel.

“Guests will now no longer have to go out and search for a brand that they know and love. We have decided to bring one of their favourite brands into the hotel.”

Anthony Worrall Regional director of food and beverage, UK, Ireland & Israel, Hilton Worldwide
All Systems Go

Whenever a restaurant is located within a complex or a hotel, we have to think about how we can connect the system to the landlord’s existing extract and supply.

With Jamie’s London Bridge, it was a case of carefully balancing the heating, ventilation and air conditioning to ensure that it will work seamlessly with the landlord’s system. We design, install, commission and maintain all of our Jamie’s Italian sites, so we can make sure that the entire business-critical HVAC build is up to scratch.

All Day Dining

The Hilton site marks a significant departure from Jamie’s Italian’s regular offering. Alongside its trademark antipasti, traditional Italian main dishes and authentic pasta, Jamie’s London bridge also offers a breakfast menu and room service for the hotel. Open from 7am every day, the restaurant must be able to cope with fluctuation in demand and be completely reliable.
To help with this, we installed a CCA (Canopy Containment Air) hood in the kitchen, which is mechanically designed to improve the extraction of contaminants whilst simultaneously decreasing the volume of air extracted from the restaurant. It’s extremely reliable and extremely efficient – and ideal for all-day dining sites.
