The Ivy Kensington Brasserie is the fourth offshoot from the Richard Caring restaurant brand. It’s the neighbourhood version of the Ivy where customers are likely to pop in for a cup of tea rather than a three course meal. Situated right in the heart of Kensington High Street, the restaurant is opposite the train station and open from 0730 to catch the early commuter’s right through to supper and everything in-between. Highlights on the menu include: griddled buttermilk pancakes with smoked streaky sweet-cured bacon and maple syrup, grilled whole lobster with parsley and garlic butter and the classic Ivy dessert the melting chocolate bombe with milk foam, vanilla ice cream and a honeycomb centre with a hot salted caramel sauce.
“Working with The Ivy group is always exciting. Located in fantastic sites around London and attracting big celebrity names, it’s great to be a part of its eagerly awaited restaurant openings. The Ivy Brasserie is different to its sister restaurants, it’s more casual and laid back as half the restaurant is dedicated to walk-ins. It’s definitely going to be as popular as the other restaurants.”
