Franco Manca and Thaikhun to open in Southampton.

Italian pizza restaurant group Franco Manca and Thai restaurant operator Thaikhun have confirmed it will open sites in Southampton’s WestQuay Watermark. The Neapolitan pizzeria will occupy a 130 m2 lower promenade position, while Thaikhun’s 290 m2 restaurant will be based on the upper promenade of the £85m dining and leisure development. Thaikhun’s Managing Director Ian Leigh said: “We are incredibly excited to be bringing Thaikhun to the coastal city of Southampton. Parts of our street food menu is inspired by the coastal areas of Thailand so we are looking forward to bringing something fresh and different to the city.” Franco Manca founder Giuseppe Mascoli, added: “We are delighted to be working with Hammerson and to be opening in Southampton, an already great city, which will be further enhanced by this development – making it a natural choice for our third opening outside of London.”
