The Alchemist, the Palatine Private Equity-backed bar and restaurant concept, has opened its first site in the East Midlands on Friday 9th February. The 13th site from The Alchemist took over the former Hard Rock Café site on Kings Street, Nottingham City Centre. It overlooks the Old Market Square and the Brian Clough Statue – an English football player and manager. The 6,500 sq. ft restaurant with 120-covers undertook a £1.6m makeover and is designed to follow the chain’s trademark copper-cased wonderland décor featuring red and cooper interior and unique artwork. The Alchemist is set for further growth in 2018 after securing an additional £16m finance package.
“The Alchemist in Nottingham is a great addition to the city. Nottingham is an exciting place with a thriving bar scene and this new bar will fit right in. The cocktails are all so innovative and there is something for everyone on the food menu.”
