Lyle’s is the latest addition to Shoreditch’s burgeoning restaurant scene. Chef James Lowe serves up the best of British food on the ground floor of the Tea Building. He has joined forces with Jyotin, Karam and Sunaina Sethi, the family behind Trishna, Gymkhana and Bubbledogs for the opening of his first restaurant. The restaurant has an industrial feel to it with the light and airy warehouse space, whitewashed walls, glamorous high windows and reclaimed wood features. An open kitchen features a wood burning oven and charcoal grill.

Open Sesame!

The open kitchen style restaurant meant that we had to install a bespoke extract and supply system, effective and efficient enough to eliminate strong odours, convective heat and smoke, leaving nothing but fresh and cool air across the restaurant. Our experience meant that we were able to deal with the specific requirements and timescales necessary to complete this project successfully.

Modern British Food

Authentic British food is served in the form of 12 lunch dishes and a daily-changing set dinner menu. Food is made from the highest quality locally produced ingredients sourced from Lowe’s closest farmers and suppliers with whom he has worked over the last eight years of his culinary career. Dishes on the menu include ox liver, aged dover sole, damson and picked elderberry, marmalade and soured cream and brown butter cake. Lyle’s will also be serving fresh foods such as breads, charcuterie and preserves, all baked in house.
