Five Guys to make its debut in Germany.

US burger giant Five Guys is to open its first site in Germany later this year in Frankfurt. The group currently operates sixty-seven sites in the UK, plus two in France and one in Spain. Earlier this year John Eckbert, Five Guys’ UK chief executive, said he saw scope for the chain to thrive in other European nations. He said “We are in discussions with the US business to expand our territory. We think Scandinavia, Austria, Switzerland and Italy would be logical places to go”. The chain will open three new sites in the UK this month starting with a new London flagship site in Piccadilly, followed by openings in Edinburgh and Clapham.
