Five Guys to make its debut in Belfast.

Popular US burger chain Five Guys hopes to make its debut in Northern Ireland in Belfast before the end of the year. It has begun fitting out a site in Belfast’s Victoria Square with an opening scheduled for mid-December. The plan for Five Guys is to initially open up to five restaurants in Dublin – two in the city centre and three more around the M50 belt – before expanding into Cork, Limerick and Galway, while one or two restaurants are planned for Belfast. The group currently operates 35 sites in the UK with openings in Leicester, Liverpool, Fareham, Sheffield and Cardiff lined up before the end of the year. It is expecting to add 25-30 units next year. It is also looking at further opportunities in Manchester, Brighton and Aberdeen.
