Five Guys discuss breakfast offering in transport hubs.

Popular US burger chain Five Guys has ended its breakfast offering at its site on London’s Argyll Street to concentrate on rolling it out to future transport hub-located units. Director of Operations Marcel Khan told the M&C that the group had used the introduction of the breakfast offer at the Argyll Street site to access its development and that is was always intended to principally work in transport hubs. Due to the breakfast at the group’s first train station site at Birmingham New Street being a success, the company are now in talks about the possibility of opening more transport hubs. UK Managing Director John Eckbert said: “I thought we needed to launch a breakfast right away, but thank god we didn’t because we nearly fell over when we opened just doing what we do best. We will eventually do breakfast in the right location, whether that is a transport hub or an obvious high footfall location. It combines two of our strongest ingredients – our bun and our bacon. Everyone loves a bacon bap. We believe we will do a strong breakfast trade when we launch”.
