Côte restaurants, the Alex Scrimgeour-led group, has invested millions of pounds on its next two restaurants openings in Harrogate and Welwyn Garden City. The company has invested over a million pounds on the new 180-cover restaurant in Welwyn Garden City’s Howardsgate, which includes a large outdoor dining space. The restaurant brand also invested over a million pounds on refurbishing its 140-cover restaurant in Harrogate’s Albert Street. The site is a part of the town’s former Beales department store and which open on 4th July. Both openings will create 50 new jobs. On the Welwyn opening, Scrimgeour said: “Our location places us right in the heart of the action and close to Welwyn’s main shopping facilities. We look forward to bringing something new to compliment Welwyn’s already thriving dining scene. We feel that our combination of warm and welcoming service, simple, freshly prepared French food, and excellent value for money will be popular in this family-orientated and friendly community.”
