Chipotle to grow its estate
Mexican grill restaurant chain Chipotle, plans to open its first regional sites in the next two to three years while continuing to grow its London estate. Executive director for European business development Jerome Tafani said: “We don’t want to run before we can walk. We do everything internally and are developing more staff in order to open more sites. The potential is there to open 200 sites in ten years, but I can’t say how fast we will get there”. He also said the most recent restaurant at London Wall is well placed for brand exposure to the c.100,000 commuters in the City including many who would know the brand from the US. The company sees to scope for opening another venue in the same area to service the high footfall.
