The Hertfordshire Business Awards 2016.
On Thursday 25th November we were proud to receive the ‘Large Business of the Year’ award and the ‘Company of the Year’ award at the prestigious Hertfordshire Business Awards 2016. The event is in its 20th year and took place at Knebworth Barns, Hertfordshire.
Chapman Ventilation, based in Welwyn Garden City, received the ‘Large Business of the Year’ from award sponsor Keith Middleton-Biz4Biz and then were honoured to be awarded the KPMG-sponsored ‘Company of the Year’ from Dave Simpson later in the evening.
Chapman Ventilation has been based in Hertfordshire for all of its fifty year history and manufactures and installs ventilation systems and kitchens for major U.K. and international restaurant brands. The business was started in 1967 by Vin and Fran Chapman and is now owned and run by their sons, Anthony and David Chapman where it currently employs over 120 people.
Anthony Chapman collected the awards along with a number of employees from across the business who had been involved in the preparation for the judging visit to the business.
Anthony Chapman, Managing Director of Chapman Ventilation, said:
“We are honoured and delighted to have been recognised with these awards. Even though my brother and I are fully involved in the business and work every day to make it better, we can only do that because of the fantastic people who work for us and deliver in every area of the business. We were recognised by the judges for our commitment to our people and that makes it all worthwhile. We also know that we would not be where are today if it were not for the foundations that were laid down by our parents in starting Chapman Ventilation almost 50 years ago”.
Chandni Chandarana, Head of Marketing at Chapman Ventilation, said:
