Snowdon 2016.
Want to get to know your work colleagues far too well? Love the country air, the possibility of a hanging toenail and sunburn? Are you desperately unfit and in need of some exercise? Then what you need is a work outing to Snowdon.
Last Saturday, a team of ten of us from across the business took part in a seventeen mile walk conquering three hills – one of them being Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. We’re proud to say we ascended Snowdon in 2 hours 30 minutes conquered the mountain in just 4 hours 45 minutes. Being the adrenaline junkies that we are, we headed to Zipworld after the walk – the longest zip line in Europe which often reaches speeds well in excess of 100mph.
The aim of the walk was to raise money for one of our three corporate charities: Isabel Hospice – a charity providing free care for patients and their families living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses in eastern Hertfordshire. It provides hospice at home, day services, in-patient care, community Isabel nurse specialists and family support.
